The Star Catcher

A small, stapled (not saddle-stitch) risographed artbook presenting slices from the daily lives of starry craftsmen, the eponymous Star Catchers. Soft and dreamlike, the tenderness of the artwork and transposition of the celestial with depictions of everyday scenery evokes the beauty of the natural world.   Maiko Dake is known for her illustration and manga work, such as her comics for Popocomi (a piece is available in the english edition of Popotame’s comics anthology “Popocomi 1”), and the collection “On Ordinary Nights”.
